What the BRB Actually Is

The BRB (Breaching Rescue Bar) is a compact tactical pry bar developed by active law enforcement officers and first responders drawing on decades of real-world field experience. It is built from 420HC corrosion-resistant steel with textured knurling for retention and pre-drilled holes for paracord wrapping.

Two main features define what it does:

The Glass Ripper Profile cuts through laminated vehicle glass in seconds. Laminated glass, the kind in modern car windows, does not shatter the way tempered glass does. It is designed to hold together under impact. The BRB's specialized profile is engineered specifically to penetrate and cut that material rapidly, and the BEAK Puncture Tip enhances glass-breaking precision for targeted entry in tight or high-stakes situations.

Beyond glass, it functions as a compact pry bar capable of breaching interior doors and light-to-medium barriers, and at a couple inches shy of a foot long, it fits easily into your kit or slides onto a MOLLE panel on your plate carrier or vest.

The MK II version we carry now also features a skeletonized design that offers a 20% weight reduction over the original BRB.

For First Responders: EMT and Firefighters

Time is the variable you cannot recover in a rescue. When someone is trapped in a vehicle after a collision, the window you have to work with is measured in minutes, sometimes less. Traditional tools work, but traditional tools are not always what's on you when the moment arrives.
